Relationships are specific experiences through which you have an opportunity to grow in self-knowledge and can develop the highest human virtues such as understanding, patience, adaptability, forgiveness, caring, truthfulness, unity and unconditional love. Avoid the trap of superficial short term relationships. Create relationships that are based on the mutual respect, admiration and common interests. However, the chemical attraction is also significant, otherwise the relationship will be short lived.
Honestly, the couple should be clear about everything. When meeting for the first time with a beloved, be completely honest from the beginning. Ask the questions that seems important to you. Know how others think and feel about those things. Look out the things that you have in common and what you do not like, but it is fine to have different interests.
Remember the three characteristics that your love partner must absolutely have and the three characteristics that he or she absolutely must not have. Don’t move forward into sexual intimacy until you are fairly sure that you really can respect, admire and love this person. Physical intimacy without any love can create unsuccessful attachments. Avoid creating a relationship with a person based on the idea that you will change the other.
People do not like to be change or controlled and they usually rebel towards that effort on the part. It does not means that they do not change, but they do not like to be changed. Check the various aspects of possible communications like talking, nature, dancing, eating, walking, praying, serving others, meditating, and finally making love. Discuss and share whatever gives you meaning and pleasures. Relationships are means of life purpose of growth, self-knowledge and eventual manifestation of the inherent divine qualities such as unconditional love.
